After listening to the book, Because, by Mo Willems, discuss the following questions with someone. Maybe you will listen to it on the phone with your grandparent or cousin and talk about it after.
In the story, The girl has an opportunity to use someone else’s ticket to go to the concert. She grows up to perform in the symphony! Who might she have gratitude towards for the opportunity to learn about the symphony? How could she thank this person?
What are some opportunities you have had that you are grateful for? Who gave you this opportunity?
Write this person a note and send it in the mail, send them an email, or give them a call on the phone to thank them! Showing gratitude not only makes someone else’s day, but it makes our heart happy as well!
This is a project you can work on to create some art to show your top character strengths for the Positivity Project!
Your teachers would love to see! Feel free to take a photo and send an email to them if you would like!
Think of all the people who help you and your family. It could be the delivery person who delivers packages to your door, your neighbor, the postal carriers, grocery store employees, nurses, doctors, and so many more! Have fun writing a note or making a card for them to say ‘Thanks!’ It will really make their day!
